Our Principles

Kanyini is the principle of connectedness through caring and responsibility that underpins Aboriginal life, linking four main areas of responsibility: tjukurrpa (philosophy, Law and religion), ngura (country), walytja (kinship and family) and kurunpa (spirit, soul and psyche) - as written by Tjilpi Bob Randall

Our business, Echoes, opened in May 2006. It is the result of the coming together of people and culture. The foundation of Echoes business is the knowledge of its Elders (Directors).

People who come to Echoes recognise very quickly that their experience has been neither ordinary, nor usual.

The most common experience is such that it causes a state of "oneness" of body mind and spirit. A great many of our guests experience this  for the first time in their memory, they experience peace such as they have never known, a depth of peace that penetrates to the deepest cellular level, allowing the body to relinquish and shed every trace of stress.  Very often and incremental to this, many have experienced physical healing.

Our guests often ask the same question,  "where did this begin, how do you do what you do, who are you, where did this knowledge come from? And who are the people, who are Echoes?".

At Echoes we share the knowledge of Masters who gave gone before. Knowledge that has been passed Master to Master for tens of thousand of years, those people who have shared the knowledge of Echoes are themselves Masters, Elders, Keepers or Secrets, and Custodians of ancient knowledge.

Echoes is "An Echo of Ancient Wisdoms"

So how did it all begin?

"In the year 2000 I had a life changing experience which has taken me on an amazing journey - Echoes began with a profound dream, this was not like anything I could explain, my dream lasted for several days and nights, whether I was awake or in sleep, the dream continued.

Have you ever woken from a dream and without any doubts, you just know things that you cannot explain? This was my experience, I had been living the dream for days and I could only continue to live what had become my reality." Dorothy Coe

The dream is recognised and shared by some amazing people who share the vision placed before Dorothy and who give freely to teach guide and direct this amazing journey, they are my husband Kerry and our fellow Directors of Echoes, Professor Sensei Ramon Lawrence OAM and Elder (Adj) Professor Joan Winch AM.

When a group of people, two or more in fact, can come together with one vision, they become one energy; our shared vision is our reality. It is our vision that has drawn us together to be this energy and return to all, ancient healing knowledge.  What was a truth of healing tens of thousands of years ago is today - still truth.

What is the truth? Very simple,"all life is vibration" - this is the most ancient knowledge, take a little time to watch our intro video, One of Echoes' founding directors Bob Randall takes us to Uluru, a sacred place in Australia, and shares the story of his ancestors of how in the beginning there was nothing but void, then came the first trace of vibration which was the beginning of all that is.

In the hearts of those who wish to help - "so the cause will continue, but will not be alone, other Australians will be by our side, and together we will make a difference. The most profound change has to happen in the hearts of those who wish to help. I believe that we can walk into the future together and build a country where cultural diversity is respected and celebrated, where the future for our children can be very different and positive from the past of our parents and grandparents." All things vibrate to specific resonance, Mother Earth has her own vibration, and human vibration is finely tuned to this.

As we Journey through this life we all have times of hurt, sorrow, grief and other pain. Such pain is carried in mind and spirit and impacts physically if not balanced with equal love, joy and celebration.  At a spiritual level we carry our pain for much longer because we have forgotten how to heal our spirit, we often recognise a broken heart, consider this to be an injury to our spirit.

Most times we do not even remember in our mind these experiences, they are carried very deeply. We also have physical experiences such as illness, injury or surgical intervention and we suffer stress; this can be from relationships, workplace or any time or place in our life. Stress becomes physically manifest and causes tension in our body. All these experiences affect us spiritually and impact on how we vibrate - how we vibrate affects how we live and all that is in our life. Consider a beautiful symphony orchestra with violin out of tune - the whole orchestra is out of tune.

The human body is the most beautiful symphony of all God's creations; it is created to be in tune with mother earth and know all things, it is powered by Spirit - our life force. As we tune our musical instruments, we must also tune our own vibrations if we are to know our higher potentials. So if our physical vibrations have many frequencies and ranges of sound how do we tune our orchestra? If we tune any other vibratory instrument, such as a guitar for example, we could match the sound of the string with the perfect note - by feeding harmony into a field of disharmony we will harmonise the field. The knowledge of these harmonies has been carried through the years by Custodians of Knowledge amongst Indigenous peoples and other ancient cultures. Echoes Directors and Elders represent such cultures and are Custodians of Knowledge. They are spiritually attuned and understand our connectivity to all things.

At Echoes we practice ancient arts of healing by balancing our vibrations. To do this we use heavy vibration instruments such as gongs, didgeridoo's and crystal bowls. These are all presented in ancient tradition and knowledge and can be adapted to any culture. Eg didgeridoo, drums and other instruments. As we experience total and deep peace of our body and mind our spirit will soar. At all times "spirit impacts physical", when we find our place of deep peace we can for a time, safely relinquish control of body and mind and allow our spirit to integrate healing, this healing permeates the physical and allows the body to naturally stimulate and balance the energies that are our well-being.

At Echoes we will guide you to your place of deep and timeless peace whilst we feed your body, mind and spirit the harmonies and sounds that bring body mind and spirit to oneness, it is a powerful and empowering experience.
