Satori Taiko

By Simon Vanyai

Monday 19th November 6.30pm - 8pm

Have you ever wanted to try Taiko, the art of Japanese Drumming?

Taiko is BIG, powerful and an amazing therapy!  If you’ve never seen Taiko, do yourself a favour and take a quick visit to YouTube, to check it out!

Taiko is technique based, it aids in balancing the body/mind/spirit, timing, rhythm, is great fun and it’s also a great workout both physically as well as mentally. Helps in developing co-ordination between the left and right brain.

Our Taiko trainer is Simon Vanyai, Simon is regularly seen with his team at the Dockers football games and regularly performs around Perth.  You will receive instruction on stance, grip on the bachi, technique, rhythm, timing and patterns.  Taiko Drums and Bachi (drumsticks) are supplied (it will be possible to purchase your own drum if you’re loving it and want to continue your practice at home).

The classes will be held in one of the Function Rooms at Willow Pond, 459 Nicholson Road, Canning Vale. You will find the entry to the left of the complex.

6.15 pm arrival and set up for a 6.30pm start. Advanced students are welcome to stay for additional training.

We recommend that you wear clothing suitable to "work out" in, bring a towel and some water to keep yourself hydrated.

Class fee: $25 per person

More Fun in Pairs Special: $40 for 2 participants
